umagai, the author of this beautiful verse, was a XII° century Japanese warrior who became the Buddhist monk known as Rensho.

I find this insight very helpful in everyday life, when I find myself confronted to obstacles so enormous that it seems I cannot do anything about them. Actually, I can : all I need to do is change the way I look at them then they become much smaller, allowing me to deal with them.
